Project Highlights
Customs Compliance & Duty Drawbacks – Provided documentation to support the requests for prior disclosures, duty drawback, and post summary corrections to U.S. Customs and Border Protection with the support of outside counsel. The requests were caused by importing goods from Asia to the U.S. at a higher cost than required, which resulted in refunds of approximately $3.6 million.
Domestic and International Warehousing and Transportation – Opened third-party logistics warehousing solutions for the client in Canada, England, and Australia. Built freight transportation footprints to support international warehouses, which included vendor sourcing, contract negotiation, and customs compliance. The transportation lanes were primarily between North America, Canada, and Australia; England and the Netherlands. Built and maintained the client’s North American freight transportation network to support over 100 truckload movements per month.
Oil Processing Plant – Maintained project documentation such as RFIs, change orders, validating P&IDs, and receiving and managing all equipment purchase orders. Automated the process for material receipts and requests for subcontractors that were previously offline through an online systems infrastructure that allowed for faster turnarounds and stronger documentation integrity.
