Conner Ruyak, CFE


Conner Ruyak is focused on evaluating the damages of construction claims, including schedule/delay impacts on project costs, and other construction-related damages. He also supports the project team through document management and data collection. He performs project evaluations, technical research and develops conclusions/opinions for contract dispute analysis and resolution. Prior to CPMI, Conner worked as a consultant for a capital project consulting firm, where he provided routine, on-site project evaluation, as well as assisted in the development and implementation of project risk analyses regarding project timing and cost for projects nationwide.

Project Highlights

Data Center Projects – Reviewed and approved monthly payment applications for 4 projects each valued at over $1.75 billion. Conner reviewed general conditions, general requirements, subcontractor invoices and change orders, and led monthly calls with the owner and contractor to discuss and resolve disputed items.

DBE/MWBE Compliance Monitoring – Responsible for verifying and reporting minority and women-owned businesses subcontracted to perform work on a $250 million multi-use development. He was on site bi-weekly interviewing construction workers to ensure the project followed the guidelines set forth by the Office of Economic Opportunity (OEO).

Headquarters Audit – Performed six audits on a $330 million hotel headquarter ranging from pre-contract review through subcontractor closeout. Conner conducted and drafted audit reports on all stages of the construction process including review of the contract, change orders, subcontractor bid award process, and all various financial logs associated with the project.
