Senior Associate

Siddharth Chodavarapu has experience in design and project management for commercial and infrastructure projects and in construction claims analysis. He evaluates and prepares construction delay and disruption claims, and prepares CPM schedules for construction projects. Siddharth has experience in construction supervision, claims analysis, and design/constructability dispute resolution. Prior to CPMI, he worked with a general and mechanical contractor as an Assistant Project Manager. His project experience includes on-site construction project management, CPM schedule preparation and updating, and preparation and review of RFI documents.

Project Highlights

Bridge Construction Project – Assisted in the preparation of an independent assessment of schedule delays and impacts in connection with a Heavy Highway and Civil Engineering Contractor’s work on a $700 million Basket Handle Arch Project. Analyzed contemporaneous project schedules, project daily records, correspondence, and other project records to perform an independent assessment of the causes of delay and to determine the Contractor’s entitlement to delay damages. Performed a Contemporaneous Period Analysis (Time Impact Analysis) of the project schedules, and identified delay issues attributable to the Contractor, including delays due to its improper compliance with concrete thermal control requirements and structural engineering design specifications. Prepared comprehensive Time Impact Analysis graphics for use in settlement discussions.

Research and Medical Center Renovation Project – Assisted in the evaluation of a $7.5 million delay claim involving the renovation and construction of four buildings, and associated environmental abatement work and site work for the research and innovation center in a large national hospital campus. Reviewed and analyzed the Contractor’s Time Entitlement Analysis, contemporaneous project schedules, correspondence and other project records to perform an independent assessment of the causes of delay and to determine the Contractor’s entitlement to delay damages. Performed a Contemporaneous Period Analysis (Time Impact Analysis) of the project schedules, and identified delay issues attributable to the Contractor including a delayed subcontractor buyout, steel fabrication delays, and Contractor-caused water intrusion issues. Prepared comprehensive Time Impact Analysis and As-Planned versus As-Built graphics for use in settlement discussions.

Firing Range and Obstacle Course Project – Assisted in the evaluation of a $18 million claim that arose from a Contractor’s work on a Firing Range and Obstacle Course project. Performed an independent analysis of the Contractor’s delay and disruption claims, and assessed its entitlement to damages resulting from several issues including an alleged differing site condition, design changes, and alleged variations in project drawings and plans. Prepared schedule analysis graphics for use in settlement discussions.

Eco-Tourism Project – Created and managed the schedule for an eco-tourism project on the East Coast of India. Worked on site with a project manager to ensure the project stayed on schedule, and saved 14 workdays in the final critical phase of the project. Processed submittal documents and sent out RFIs (Requests for Information) to the owners’ representatives. Led meetings with subcontractors, owners’ representatives, and vendors.

Commercial Complex Project – Supervised the construction of and created the schedule for one portion of a 40,000 square foot,  multipurpose commercial complex in Eastern India. Performed regular schedule updates on the project and negotiated with subcontractors to optimize their schedules and save time. Concrete foundation and mat work duration was reduced by over 10%.

Structural Design and Analysis – Worked on two major structural analysis and design projects: an eight-story institutional (university) project and a multi-story commercial project.
